Die vierte Singleauskopplung "Where Have You Been" aus Rihannas sechsten Studioalbum "Talk That Talk" (2011) geht mit satten Dance-Pop-Beats ordentlich nach vorne und knüpft somit indirekt an den gefeierten Uptempo-Sound ihrer Mega-Single "We Found Love" an.
Produzenten der unter anderem von Ester Dean geschriebenen Single waren Dr. Luke (Taio Cruz, Nicki Minaj), Cirkut und Calvin Harris, der bereits "We Found Love" geschrieben und produziert hatte. Das Album "Talk That Talk" ist in Deutschland inzwischen ebenfalls vergoldet – wie auch in 13 weiteren Ländern. Zusätzlich hat Rihannas sechster Longplayer in noch 13 weiteren Ländern Platin- oder Mehrfach-Platin-Status erreicht.
Wie tanzbar ihre neue Single ist, wussten die Briten schon im kalten November: Als das Album "Talk That Talk" veröffentlicht wurde, ist "Where Have You Been" geradewegs die Top-10 der UK-Dance-Charts geschossen. Dabei macht der Track im Sommer noch viel mehr Spaß.
