The A&R (Artists & Repertoire) department is the heart of the label, creates and realizes new audio and video projects with our artists. At the same time, it is on the lookout for new artist signings. 
Here’s your chance to join! Effective immediately, we’re looking for a A&R Manager Scores & Publishing (all genders) to join us at our Headquarters in Berlin. It will be a permanent full-time position.

Your gig:
  • You procure the scores for our audio and audiovisual recordings for the repertoire departments of Deutsche Grammophon
  • You are responsible for  clearing publishing rights for audio and video productions of the various repertoire departments and are DG’s first-point of contact for this topic 
  • You negotiate sync licenses and coordinate these closely with your colleagues in Berlin, London & Los Angeles
  • You support the A&R producers with repertoire research and presentations
  • You use your creative freedom to further develop our publishing initiative 
  • As part of the team, you will constantly expand the network of arrangers/composers for remixes and new compositions/arrangements and negotiate with the individual artists
  • As an important intermediary, you coordinate the internal processes of the department and take care of the processing of payments

We are keen to jam with you if you:
  • You have successfully completed your studies in communication or media science, musicology, law or a comparable field of study 
  • You have very good knowledge of the classical music repertoire 
  • You have a good understanding of IT technology and a keen interest in new developments and innovations in digital platforms – ideally you are already familiar with content management systems
  • You feel confident in natural reading, writing and speaking English – German skills are a plus

  • You bring the ability to work independently but you will never lose sight of your team
  • You have a hands-on mentality, are open to new ideas and proactively drive topics forward 
  • You are able to overview and structure complex issues in their entirety in order to grasp the interrelationships and thus ultimately simplify things and derive consequences 
  • You like to be one step ahead of digital trends in the market and love to pursue new ideas, strategies and creative approaches to solutions
