We are currently building STAGE+, a worldwide premium multi-platform streaming service for classical (live) video and audio content. This is a unique opportunity to be part of that journey early on. In order to bring the service to rapid market maturity and meet the information requirements of internal and external stakeholders, we are looking for a Senior Data Engineer (all genders) to play a key role in shaping and championing this role.
Here’s your chance to join! We’re looking for a (Senior) Data Engineer (all genders) to become part of our Digital Products & Innovation team at our Headquarters in Berlin. It will be a permanent full-time position.
 
Your tasks:
  • You will be part of the DG STAGE+ product team, working with them to deliver generated data in the best possible way, as well as integrating required data in the optimal format
  • You coordinate among backend developers and business users, and highlight what can be achieved with the right mindset (and the right data)
  • You are responsible for data workflows and for transforming data according to requirements developed together with your team
  • You are significantly involved in the elaboration and definition of the DataOps strategy
  • You work with the following tech stack: Gitlab, Gitlab CI, Kubernetes, Docker, GCP, Airflow, Prometheus, Grafana
  • You deploy and continuously optimize standards in order to improve the quality of the data mesh
  • You are an active member of the Data Community of Practice practice and maintain a steady exchange with the international IT and Business Analysts
  • You share your know-how, e.g., in the form of trainings, presentations or workshops, which you prepare yourself
 
Your professional profile:
  • You hold a degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics or a similar field, or were able to acquire the required knowledge through relevant work experience
  • You have extensive experience as a Data Engineer and are skilled in at least one of the following programming languages: Python, Javascript, Typescript, Java, Scala, Go, Rust, SQL
  • You are equipped with profound knowledge in Data Transformation and Data Warehousing
  • You are familiar with the following tech stack: Kubernetes, Helm, Gitlab CI, Gitlab, Renovate Bot, Grafana, Prometheus, Alertmanager, Gitlab CI Templates, Docker Base Images, AWS S3, GCS, BigQuery, PostgreSQL, Gitlab Runner, Airflow
  • You’ve already worked successfully within agile teams, therefore the terms Agile and Scrum are a part of your terminology
  • You stand out positively if you have experience with data from the field of e-Commerce / D2C, Online Marketing or App Tracking
  • You feel confident and natural reading, writing and speaking English and are able to communicate efficiently in a tech as well as business related context; German skills are a plus
