Digital Products and Innovation (DPI) is a network of small, autonomous product teams, who act as microenterprises with high degrees of freedom. Committed innovation and entrepreneurship, we foster the development of services, platforms and business models for our artists and create new experiences for fans. This role will oversee and guide all experiences across all domains and products be it D2C, B2B or internal facing.
Here’s your chance to shape our future together with us! We’re looking for a (Senior) Director of Product Design (all genders) to become part of our Digital Products & Innovation team at our Headquarters in Berlin. It will be a permanent full-time position reporting directly to the CTO. 
 
Your tasks: 
  • You will build, lead and inspire inclusive design teams as well as foster their growth
  • You will dive deep into truly meaningful problems our customers are facing in order to provide solutions which make them feel not just heard, but fully understood
  • You guide your team through moments of ambiguity and create a safe and inclusive space in which people perform at their personal and collective best
  • You master interaction design, choreograph UX design processes and orchestrate unified experiences across devices and throughout the customer journey — while knowing how to translate specific solutions in usable and delightful interactions
  • You will take a forward-looking generative approach and make design decisions based on evidence; you guide your team to solve problems in the best way possible and are aware of when to work iteratively and when to take bold bets
  • You will take not just users but also stakeholders and employees on a compelling journey by explaining a clear customer experience vision and compelling storytelling
  • In close collaboration with other designers, product managers, engineering managers, your team will deliver best-in-class user experiences
  • You will be an active voice of the 'Beats & Bytes’ tech leadership team
 
Your professional profile: 
  • You have profound experience as a product design leader or principal product designer, especially in the D2C sector 
  • You are a strong people leader with a proven track record in building and growing inclusive teams
  • You can communicate efficiently in a tech as well as business related context and are experienced in acting as the link between tech and business, on all hierarchy levels 
  • You feel confident and natural reading, writing and speaking English; German skills are a plus 
  • You bring experience in collaboration with engineering and design leads

  • You have the mindset and methodologies to understand your customers, colleagues and employees
