Kings Elliot
“Born Blue”
VÖ: 26.09.2025
September 26, 2025 – Swiss singer-songwriter Kings Elliot releases her longawaited debut album, ‘Born Blue’ – a 14-track body of work rich in emotional honesty, poetic vulnerability, and sonic versatility. Known for her ethereal voice and unflinching storytelling, Kings opens up across the project and ushers in a new chapter in her artistry while staying rooted in the melancholic beauty that has defined her sound. Drawing inspiration from the color blue (a nod to her iconic hair and emotional palette), the album brings together deeply personal themes surrounding mental health, heartache, resilience, and self-discovery. From intimate ballads to more punchy, alt-pop moments, each song captures a different shade of the human experience, threaded together by Kings' unmistakable voice and unfiltered honesty.
The album features 14 tracks, including four recent singles – ‘What If This World’, ‘Starcrossed’, ‘Love and Landslides’, and ‘The Promise’ which have already struck a chord with audiences globally, landing on flagship Spotify playlists including New Music Friday, Chill Pop, All New Pop, and Pop Brandneu, while garnering praise from press outlets such as DIY Magazine, Wonderland, and TMRW.
Alongside these releases, the album brings together standout singles from the past five years of Kings’ career – ‘I’m Getting Tired Of Me’, ‘Dancing Alone’, ‘Call Me A Dreamer’, ‘Ashes By The Morning’, ‘Sweet Nothing’. More about Kings Elliot…
Kings Elliot has always been deeply interested in what makes a song, starting at around the age of seven. Growing up in a small Swiss town with her British mother, she kept a thick binder with all the songs she liked, after printing out the lyrics to reflect on why they resonated with her so much. “I’m kind of obsessed with lyrics and melodies. It’s always been that way.” She was also obsessed with creating worlds and escaping into her imagination, something she carries into her musical endeavors, reflected in the artwork of her singles, which show a spritesized version of the artist in forests, surrounded by depictions of real animals she has rescued.
Through her dedication to the craft of songwriting and building a community, she has already managed to engage fans around the world, who refer to themselves as “sick puppies” and gather at her shows and in her weekly Twitch stream to discuss the highs and lows of their lives. Kings Elliot and her unique artistry has been celebrated over the years by celebrities like Reese Witherspoon and Lewis Capaldi, labeled as a “future star” by BBC Radio, with her songs featured in TV hits like Grey’s Anatomy, and even contributing the theme song for the video game blockbuster The Callisto Protocol.
After supporting Imagine Dragons in stadiums around the world, touring with rising troubadour Stephen Sanchez in North America, and opening for her hero, Lana Del Rey at her historic Hyde Park gig, Kings Elliot made the decision to take some necessary time to focus on her mental health. Now, she is back, stronger than ever, looking forward to releasing exciting new music and returning to the
stages she has missed so much.
