Während die Kritiker in höchsten Tönen von der in Kanada geborenen Sängerin und Songwriterin schwärmen ("One of those natural wonders (LA Times), “A real boomer of a voice.” (The New York Times)), begeistert sie das Publikum mit ihren Veröffentlichungen. Ihr Debütalbum “Mirror” erschien 2023 und eroberte rund um den Globus die Charts (u.a. Platz 11 in UK). In bewegenden Songs erzählt Lauren ihre Geschichte voller autobiografischer Höhen und Tiefen. Vor wenigen Wochen meldete sich Lauren Spencer Smith mit ihrer neuen Single “If Karma doesn’t get you (I Will)” zurück und kündigte ihr neues Album "The Art Of Being A Mess“ an. Jeder einzelne Song auf diesem Album ist ein Ausdruck einer spezifischen Emotion – sei es Wut, Verzweiflung, Liebe, Frieden, Verwirrung oder etwas dazwischen. 

Über das Album sagt Lauren: “I cannot wait to share all of these songs with you!!!!!! This album has been a huge rollercoaster…. full of highs, lows, and every emotion in between. Life doesn’t come with a guidebook, just a whole lot of feelings, and I tried to embrace all of them. Over the past 1.5 years, I’ve poured my heart into this project, capturing the sadness, the happiness, the anger, and confusion. I can’t wait for you to hear the soundtrack to my mess… also known as my life”
