Marcus & Martinus – The Room
Release date: 26.09.2025
Marcus & Martinus are now releasing their new single “The Room”, which has already become a fan favorite during this summer’s tour.
“We’ve been performing ‘The Room’ live all summer and the response has been incredible which makes it extra exciting that it’s finally being released and can meet the world for real. The song has a darker energy than our recent releases, but at the same time it feels very true to us. We hope our fans will love it as much as we do and sing along to it all autumn.” – Marcus & Martinus.
“The Room” is written by a successful international team: FERRAS (Katy Perry, Dua Lipa, The Chainsmokers, Luis Fonsi), Nate Cyphert (BTS, Steve Aoki, Måneskin, David Guetta, JoJo Siwa, DNCE, Marshmello, Ava Max), JARO (ClockClock, Glockenbach), and Michael Fatkin (Lukas Graham, Jonas Blue, R3HAB, Alan Walker). The track is also produced by Michael Fatkin.
Marcus & Martinus made an impressive showing last year when they represented Sweden in the Eurovision Song Contest in May with the song “Unforgettable.” Since then, they’ve released the album Unforgettable, toured Europe with the We Are Not The Same Tour with stops in the UK, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, and Belgium, and recently wrapped up a major summer tour across the Nordics.
Twin brothers Marcus and Martinus Gunnarsen are a force to be reckoned with on the Scandinavian pop scene. Their journey began when they won Melodi Grand Prix Junior in Norway, breaking through with their self-written song “To dråper vann.” From that moment, life was never the same.
Since then, chart-topping hits and streaming dominance have defined their career. Their biggest hit to date, “Elektrisk”, still holds the record in Norway as the most-streamed song in Norwegian, with over 126 million Spotify streams. For several years, they toured Europe with megastar Jason Derulo and released hits that climbed the charts both in Norway and abroad. Their posters covered teenage bedroom walls worldwide, and the fan hysteria knew no bounds.
In 2023, they placed second in Melodifestivalen with the song “Air.” They’ve also performed at prestigious events such as the Nobel Peace Prize ceremony, won Masked Singer Sweden, and hosted Sommar i P1. Most recently, they released their biography “Two Voices, One Story.”
In 2026, they’ll embark on another major European tour and participate in the Norwegian version of the Swedish reality show “Så Mycket Bättre” known as “Hver gang vi møtes”.
